I've had multiple times where I had a price ready to go in my head, and last minute before I said it, fear took hold and I threw out a lower price. What I did the last time I was worried about that is I wrote out my proposal on a google doc with the price and then I showed the client that so I didn't have a way to undercut myself
Selling out of fear and pricing low may sometimes seem like the only option. And sometimes it is. I've been there as well.
